Love the new spaceship enviroment, its what eve need for attracting new players, the amount of times in my 6 years of play i tried to get somone to play eve and the said:
"what you can't get out of your ship in stations?"
These did then not subscribe
This update caters of them, it also gives them a platform for new ideas and developments such as this cross game thing, the idea of which i love,
Nothing has changed more has been added, the menus are all the same and you dont even need to move in the station to access everything just use the old tool bar at the side.
You can get to your cargo in the exact same way as before. Turret animations are great.
Personally I love the new expansion runs super smooth on 2 accounts accross 2 monitors, quite like walking with my charater, gives more depth to who she is and whats she is like.
Looking forward to more station interaction making my space sim more space sim like and not just local chat "GRRRRWWWAAAA ImmA end youz noob, pew pew"
I don't have a problem with Incarna, or CCP spending development time on it that I personally would have enjoyed elsewhere but I'm not the universe of new-eden and I enjoy the game in space as is.
What I do have a problem with is how CCP has implemented it. It was shoved down our throats, and I've lost a lot of functionality in station that I had prior to Incarna. Adding new features is great. reducing the functionality for those who don't wish to use it, and indeed reducing functionality regardless of whether it's enabled or not. (I miss spinning my ships, and being able to quickly bring up menus through double clicking on the ship etc.)
If CCP bring back the option to have the old hanger I would wager 80% of the complaints would disappear. They'd likely move on to other things to whine about but regardless, it's a terrible design decision to mandatory reduce functionality for a lot of the userbase. (Especially after the CSM brought up the whole excellence, functionality and the big UI changes).
